We are currently looking for an experienced financial professional to join our team as the Senior Finance Business Partner. In this role you will be responsible for conducting and documenting moderate to complex financial analysis, financial reporting and ad-hoc finance projects for SA, WA and ACT.    

In this key strategic role you will have oversight and performance of varied areas of financial analysis and reporting which will include standard monthly management reporting and variance analysis, budgets, forecasting, strategic planning and financial reporting 

Here's a snapshot of your day:

  • Finance Business Partner working closely with SA/WA and ACT Managing Director (MD) and other executives from the business, providing support and analysis, be a trusted adviser and adding value that will assist in decision making.
  • Main point of contact for all Finance related issues/queries coming from the local offices in the states. Either manage and resolve the issue/query directly or ensure it is channelled through the appropriate part of the Finance function for resolution.
  • Assist in providing accurate details of the SA/WA/ACT actual, budget and forecast reporting.
  • Liaising with local MD’s to gather information regarding monthly revenue forecasts and monthly actual revenue tracking.
  • Prepare monthly commentary and analysis on the P&Ls for the State and business lines, as well as detailed revenue/expense analysis when requested
  • Assist in the handling and distribution of monthly management reporting and work with the business to resolve issues & queries

Here are some of the strengths you’ll possess and the background you'll need to be successful;

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics 
  • Fully qualified CA or CPA with a minimum 3-5 yrs post qualified experience 
  • Strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret complex financial transactions, sales and lease transactions, and revenue recognition. 
  • Analyse and interpret complex financial information and transactions with the ability to provide finance support to non-Finance personnel.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to build robust client relationships with key stakeholders
  • Exceptional time management, organisational and analytical skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with financial systems (PeopleSoft, TM1, Power BI etc)
