Our Business Development Manager- Education is responsible for developing relationships that lead to sales, managing accounts, and developing new leads for education clients, predominantly public and private sector schools, to underpin learning and growth through enabling managed services solutions.

Requirements

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. 
  • Develop and implement business development strategies focused on financial gain and closure of new clients. 
  • Leverage your expertise in the education sector, specifically within independent and Catholic schools in Australia, to identify new business opportunities for establishing relationships, arranging meetings, and promoting CT’s products and services.
  • Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Manage procurement cycles and regulatory environment of Catholic Education and Independent Schools   
  • Manage the solution cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.  
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.  
  • Identify new customer needs through research and analysis. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide feedback, support, and insights. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver the best customer experience. 

Here's what you'll bring:

  • Familiarity with the education sector, particularly independent and Catholic schools in Australia.  
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the education sector. 
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. 
  • Proven capability to sell hardware or software. 
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM tools. 
  • Ability to manage projects, multitask, and meet deadlines effectively 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • School information system or Learning Management System knowledge is beneficial but not required.
