The practice is open Mondays and Fridays 7:30am-5:00pm. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:30am-6:00pm, Thursdays 7:30am-7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm. 

About the opportunity: 

  • 1 x Full-Time Dental Assistant (Monday – Friday with an occasional Saturday requirement – 38 hours weekly)
  • 1 x Part-Time Receptionist (approx. 2/3 days per week – must be available Wednesdays 7:15am – 6:30pm and Fridays 7:15am – 5:30pm)

As a Dental Assistant or Receptionist in our practice you will:

  • Maintain our amazing customer and team culture - providing continued excellent customer service to our patients
  • Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment
  • Deliver quality chairside assistance to our Dentists
  • Provide instrument sterilisation
  • Maintain infection control standards and procedures
  • Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression
  • Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
  • Making patients aware of dental services and offers
  • Handling payments
  • Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
  • High-end patient care; building & maintaining relationships with all clients in a friendly & warm manner

What you'll bring as a Dental Assistant or Receptionist:

  • Ideally 6+ months experience in Australia as a Dental Assistant or Medical receptionist preferred
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded, although not essential - and you'll be compensated with the pay to match your experience level
  • Skilled at tackling challenges both on your own and as part of a team, while paying close attention to the little things 
  • Must have a current Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain one
  • Strong customer care focus. It is a very busy practice and time management will be crucial
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Maturity and reliability
  • Passionate about customer service/patient care 
  • Maintaining an orderly environment with a knack for systematic approaches 
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
