About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is suited for a highly motivated, adaptable individual who is able to pivot in order to meet the changing requirements of the business. This role will also be required to provide assistance in other finance and accounting activities to support the greater Finance & Accounting Team.

You will be required to assist the Finance & Accounting Team with:

  • Management accounts and supporting processes
  • Financial Statements and supporting processes
  • APRA, BAS & FBT Returns
  • Maintain Asset Register
  • ASX, ASIC & FSR compliance
  • Risk Register maintenance
  • Surveys
  • Standard & Poor’s schedules and reports
  • Special projects (new mergers, acquisitions etc)
  • Developing & maintaining accounting and reporting processes using Accounting software
  • Maintaining Corporate Governance policy and reports
  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer & Senior Accountants, as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is motivated and excited to start a career in finance and management accounting, who is currently in their third year of tertiary education or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.

As well as having exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact & communicate with all levels of staff within the Bank, a high attention to detail & accuracy as well as strong time management skills, you will also need to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work positively in a cohesive team
  • Contribute to problem solving initiatives and innovation to enhance the Bank’s capabilities
  • Ensure validity of payments made and orders raised
  • Ensure all allocated duties are completed to the Bank’s policy and procedures including privacy guidelines and any other applicable laws/legislation
