Our Financial Control team is responsible for Financial Reporting & Project Accounting, Financial Governance, Finance Operations and Finance Systems. While their role may not be member-facing, their contribution is vital to ensuring we meet all our ongoing reporting, regulatory, governance and operational requirements.
The role
Looking to make an impact? Join us as a Financial Accountant and challenge the status quo. We are looking for someone who can continuously review and improve processes with the aim to achieve optimal efficiency in day-to-day operations.
Collaborating closely with the internal Corporate Services teams as well as supporting other business units on all matters relating to invoicing and expenses, you will
- Process weekly payables run, including daily urgent and ad-hoc payments
- Process and manage corporate card expenses and staff expense reimbursements
- Prepare month-end expense journals and reconciliations of expense balance sheet accounts
- Provide support to the Financial Control teams in relation to end of month, end of financial year and statutory reporting as required
About you
A keen learner with an eye for detail is critical for this role. We are looking for someone with a process improvement mindset who will challenge the status quo, whilst also loving to perform the daily processing tasks required, which at times can be high volume. Coupled with the following will truly set you up for success;
- Significant accounts payable/receivable and general accounting experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and an ability to work autonomously
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and work to deadlines
