We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our client as an Electrical Facilitator, located in Townsville, Queensland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to train and mentor full-time apprentices, school-based students, and fee-for-service participants.

About the Job:

  • Permanent - Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday roster
  • 38 hours per week
  • Attractive salary + 13% Super
  • 6 weeks of annual leave (2 weeks over Christmas closure)
  • Certificate IV TAE covered by client - Valued at $3,300

Requirements

  • Trades Certificate in Electrotechnology + Current Queensland Electrical Licence
  • Current C-Class Australian Drivers Licence
  • Must be willing to complete a Certificate IV in Training & Assessing if not already held.
  • Ability to commit to work hours/roster.
  • Queensland Working with children card, or the eligibility to obtain
  • CPR / Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
  • Possession of an Electrical trade qualification with a minimum of 5 years post trade work experience in the Electrical industry

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, maintenance, and operation of the Vocational Electrical Program, maintain an efficient and smooth-running program that meets the ASQA requirements.
  • Taking a mentorship role in promoting the education of learners in a proper manner including the delivery of engaging and relevant learning programs
  • Participate in the Trade Education Team meetings where facilitator teaches school-based students.
  • Liaising with students, employers and parents in relation to student performance and progress
  • Ensure Facilitator Currency is maintained each year.
