About The Role:

As Bendigo Kangan Institute's inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of AI systems and strategies right across our organisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and deliver AI-powered solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer experiences.

  • Lead implementation of the AI strategy: execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business goals and objectives, identifying opportunities for AI integration across various functions and departments.
  • AI solution development: In collaboration with the ICT and Performance and Reporting teams, lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions, including machine learning models, natural language processing systems, computer vision applications, and other AI driven technologies.
  • Strategic leadership: Actively engage across BKI to build relationships and understand the broader environment, organisational outcomes, strategic objectives, opportunities and issues

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Certification in AI, machine learning, or related fields is desirable
  • Proven experience in leading AI projects from conception to implementation, preferably in an education environment
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and AI algorithms
  • Proven ability to build key stakeholder relationships across a diverse range of portfolios and areas of business, including with executives and senior management
