Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our Technology Team at our Cremorne Office, Melbourne.

This role is ideal for a talented BI professional looking to grow their career and develop skills in data engineering.

About the Role

As a BI Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data solutions that support business intelligence and reporting needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing efficient and scalable data models, datasets, and views
  • Optimizing data integration platforms for enhanced performance, availability, accessibility, and data integrity
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
  • Developing ETL/ELT processes and data consolidation mechanisms following best practices
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, including automation and optimization of data infrastructure for scalability

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in data design and implementation, with expert knowledge of SQL scripting and best practices
  • Proficiency in SQL Queries and Optimization, including understanding joins, conditional expressions, indexing strategy, query plan analysis
  • Relational Database Design and Modeling, including diagrams, normalization, data integrity, and solid design foundations of data storage and retrieval
  • Data Security and Compliance, including permissions, encryptions, and auditing
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack, including SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, OLAP (DAX, MDX), Data Warehousing, and ETL Processes
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Platform, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure DevOps

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
