About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Eating Disorders team as a Nurse Consultant, where you will be responsible for:
Be part of the leadership team delivering Evidence Based Eating Disorder Treatment. Deliver advanced mental health nursing care, select and implement therapies, manage individual cases, and evaluate patient progress. Use data for decision-making, quality improvement, incident monitoring, ensuring safety, outcome evaluation, and staff communication. Use expertise to monitor and improve research activities, enhancing nursing and midwifery practice and service delivery. Provide leadership, act as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person. Provide supervision within the team and to other CAMHS staff. Provide outreach at other CAMHS metropolitan sites and via Health Direct.About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice. Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and to prioritise workload and meet set timelines. Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and /or midwives.What WCHN Can Offer You
