*Based in Port Adelaide though servicing individuals in metropolitan Adelaide (some rural and remote may be required)*

**The Role**

The Mental Health Worker is responsible for providing high quality recovery-oriented services through recovery journey planning and can work in collaboration with other services, as necessary.

Centacare Eating Disorder Support Servies (EDSS) provides non-clinical recovery-oriented services for people experiencing eating disorders or disordered eating, and/or body image concerns/disturbances.

Individuals, youth, families, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are supported in the community through telephone and face to face support, self-help and support groups, information, education, advocacy, and health promotion.

A key component of this role is to provide work in the community/ outreach services as per the needs of clients, reducing barriers and increasing their capacity for recovery.

**What you need to bring**
- Minimum qualification Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’).
- Proven experience working with or understanding of the complex needs of people living with an eating disorder and/or other mental illnesses.
- A sound understanding of recovery-oriented practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Driver’s License.
