YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Full Time Ongoing Role
As a Grade 3 clinician you will be responsible for a number of key duties, including clinical care to inpatients and outpatients (patients and carers), student and staff supervision. Non-clinical duties include: education, quality and research. You bring a wealth of oncology expertise, strong communication and teamwork skills and a passion for innovation and improvemkent. Not essentail but highly desriable: post-graduate qualifcations.
This position reports to the Manager of Social Work, Music Therapy and Art Therapy.

This role is 80 Hours per fortnight with ADO

Essential Requirements
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Substantial postgraduate experience in a hospital or health care setting
- Experience in project & program development
- Extensive experience in staff supervision
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the application of social work theory, practice frameworks and principles, in the context of the current health care environment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills. These should incorporate qualities of excellent communication (verbal and written) and skills in collaboration, negotiation and conflict management
- Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, at an advanced level
- Highly-developed individual, family work and crisis intervention and care planning skills
- The ability to identify, plan and implement and evaluate new service strategies
- Demonstrated commitment to staff and student supervision
- Evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development
- Knowledge of, and ability to participate in quality improvement activities and develop strategies to market the work of the profession in the organisation, and beyond
- Evidence of initiation and coordination of quality/research projects

1. Provide and develop high quality clinical services to patients and families within the clinical service allocation.

2. Co-ordinate allocated projects programs and portfolio responsibilities.
- Establish, implement, evaluate and report on all projects in a timely manner

- Develops & leads research activities as directed by HOD
- Provides general leadership and support to HOD
3. Provide professional supervision to social workers and social work students.

- Representation of department, profession and as a senior member of Allied Health on both internal and external committees as required.
5. Initiate and implement relevant policies and Quality Improvement Activities.

- Contribute to the development, update and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols at both departmental level and organization wide level as required
