The role requires performing day-to-day accounting tasks, like looking after accounts payable & receivable, and other associated activities. The role requires an accurate reporting of financial and operational results every month to shareholders and management of the company.

Role description:

-         Oversee financial operations, including the input of sales orders, purchases, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

-         Manage accounts payable/receivable and conduct monthly financial reporting, offering insights into financial performance and recommendations for improvement.

-         Perform administrative duties, including distribution of invoices to various departments for approval and liaising with departments heads regarding payments, as well as general office management, stock takes, and maintenance of personnel, customer, and supplier records.

-         Coordinate insurance policies and vehicle fleet management, providing support for operational efficiency.

-         Facilitate financial statements preparation for board presentations, shareholder meetings, and statutory bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance.

-         Conduct financial analyses and audits, offering advice on business transactions, capital financing, fraud detection, insolvency, and taxation.

-         Provide strategic financial and taxation advice, assisting with business planning, structures, and operations.

-         Liaise with financial institutions for funds management, introducing and maintaining robust accounting systems, including the selection of computer-based solutions.

-         Uphold internal control systems, ensuring the integrity of financial reports and adherence to statutory requirements.

Role description:

-         Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in relevant field of study.

-         Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience in a relevant role within a relevant industry.

Desired skill set and attributes:

-         Previous experience within the meat production industry.

-         Excellent skill in verbal, written communication as well as producing effective presentations.

-         Take initiative and ownership of tasks, strong problem solving skills,  

-         Attention to detail and accurate in work ethics.

-         Intermediate to advance level in office Excel. Ability to meet deadlines in a variety of circumstances.

-         Strong sense of responsibility for the work performed.
