About the role

With experience and an understanding of Health and Wellbeing in the occupational environment, the Wellbeing Advisor will coordinate wellbeing initiatives supporting the integrated business plan of People and Culture in WorkSafe Victoria. Reporting to the Wellbeing Manager, this is a position of influence, coordinating an extensive cohort of employees engaged in voluntary support networks in order to promote and enhance wellbeing across the organisation through evidence based initiatives.

The Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of employee wellbeing initiatives. This role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to design engaging programs that address the physical, mental, and community and social well-being and using evidence-based theory to the programs proposed.  Key accountabilities include;  

  • Research, plan and deliver well-crafted communications to promote wellbeing programs.
  • Deliver electronic monthly newsletters to the organisation, reflecting activities of the wellbeing program and promoting upcoming activities.
  • Working with peers in People and Culture, actively engage in the delivery of wellbeing work plans for the promotion of occupational health initiatives, enhancing the employee value proposition.
  • Engage and actively work with peers and stakeholders across the organisation to promote health and wellbeing, integrating messaging into business processes and capability initiatives.
  • Provide updates to People and Culture on latest health and wellbeing initiatives by keeping informed through active participation in networking and sharing occupational wellbeing literature and insights. This will inform wellbeing planning.
  • Actively collaborate with peers and employee networks for the development, delivery and implementation of wellbeing projects.

About you

Project management is key to ensure initiatives are delivered in a timely manner and within budget. Research and communication skills are crucial to stay updated on best practices, develop program materials, and effectively engage employees. Data analysis allows you to measure program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for improvement. Empathy, cultural awareness, and technological proficiency round out the essential skillset for designing inclusive programs and streamlining program development, communication, and data management.
