: The Waste Regulation Team is seeking a highly motivated person to undertake the role of Regulatory Administration Officer within the Regulatory Engagement and Reporting team. The team is responsible for developing and delivering public-facing regulatory engagement content: including websites, bulletins, and correspondence, as well as the collection of waste activity data mandated by the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Act 2016 fromACT waste businesses.

You will bring your strong skills in stakeholder engagement, brief and report writing, analysis of complex information, and your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. These skills, together with a positive attitude and a commitment to continual learning and development, will see you well placed to excel in this role.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

Mandatory:

Permanent Resident of Australia. Driver’s licence Class ‘C’ or higher is essential. White Card - Workplace Health and Safety Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain; . Asbestos awareness card - Asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement, for further information refer to: . first aid qualification, and completion of silica. These can be obtained when starting in the position. This position does not require a pre-employment medical check.

Desirable:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent administrative and program management skills, and the ability to proactively update and document administrative and systemic improvements. Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail. Proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances and flexibility when delivering a range of tasks and outputs. Strong operational knowledge of office information technology, including Salesforce.

Notes: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is based in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
