Job Description
The role of Portfolio Director of Human Resources will be the driving force behind our talent management and engagement initiatives, directly impacting the success of our hotels and the experiences of our guests. This is a chance to be innovative, drive solutions that matter and make a difference across a portfolio encompassing multiple brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Human Resources Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring each hotel operates with a high-performance mindset.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Lead innovative recruitment strategies, leveraging the multiple portfolio brands to attract top talent while fostering a culture of freedom and empowerment that encourages team members to take initiative and excel in their roles.
- Performance Management: Work with the Trilogy performance management systems, promoting continual feedback, accountability, and high performance, ensuring that all team members are recognised for their contributions
- Employee Engagement: Champion initiatives that enhance colleague engagement and satisfaction, cultivating an environment of trust and open communication where every team member feels valued and heard.
- Training and Development: Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs that equip employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel and give them the courage to embrace new challenges.
- Employee Relations: Proactively ensure compliance against applicable legal regulations to create an environment of safety and security. Manage employee relations matters with kindness and care.
- Human Resources Metrics and Reporting: Utilise relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of Human Resources initiatives, making data-driven decisions to enhance workforce performance and engagement across the portfolio.
- Leadership Development: Mentor and develop leadership teams at each hotel, instilling a sense of boldness and confidence in their ability to lead and support their colleagues effectively. Leverage the portfolio of hotels to create meaningful experiences, projects and career pathways.
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in hospitality
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful people strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation
- High level of cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment law and regulations in Australia
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Ability to travel as needed between the portfolio of hotels
