Our client is a Tier 1 client in the Financial Services sector. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager (not from IT background) with a strong experience in data migration and stakeholder management to lead complex, cross-functional projects. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end project management of data migration initiatives, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, alignment with business goals, and successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of data migration projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budget, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including C-suite executives, business leads, IT teams, and external partners, to align project objectives with business needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data migration strategies, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout the transition process.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues related to data migration projects, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data governance, and business units, to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Develop and execute change management plans to drive adoption and minimize disruption during and post-migration.
  • Regularly update stakeholders with project status reports, documentation, and performance metrics. Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately.
  • Identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvements, contributing to the enhancement of project management best practices.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in data migration projects.
  • Proven track record in managing complex data migration projects within large organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, including working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
