The role

Auto & General is on the lookout for team leaders to develop, coach and motivate a team of claims consultants in order to meet agreed objectives in our North Lakes office.

  • Lead and monitor the team to execute a high standard of service and process adherence
  • Monitor and support the management of a portfolio of claims including:
    • Workload prioritisation and allocation
    • Claim review and authorisation
    • Technical product, process and system and compliance support
    • Performance and progress reporting
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational activities that will continually improve Claims performance
  • Provide detailed input into ongoing process and system development
  • Provide input into staffing requirements and recruitment

What experience you’ll bring

  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment
  • Previous Team Leader or equivalent experience
  • Extensive Home Claims experience
  • Proven ability in leading and motivating people
  • Ability to effectively analyse and resolve problems
  • A core focus on Customer outcomes and relations
  • Ability to innovate and be creative in developing process and procedures
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiate where required
  • Home claims experience preferred but not essential
