Located 15 kilometres outside of Katherine in the Northern Territory, RAAF Base Tindal (Tindal) is one of Australia’s most important Defence sites. The majority of the base’s infrastructure is in need of remediation.

Local Katherine candidates are encouraged to apply, and a relocation opportunity exists with local living allowance provided, however we can also accommodate DIDO from Darwin or FIFO candidates on a 3:1 roster.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall contract and commercial management
  • Assist project management teams with forecasting costs and reporting
  • Prepare variation proposals
  • Provide ongoing commercial and contractual support for the project teams
  • Carry out administration, including Document Control, RFIs, Submittals, and Transmittals and Variation registers
  • Prepare/ negotiate/ let subcontractor packages, and procurement scheduling
  • Update, negotiate, monitor, review, analyse subcontractor and supplier contracts, variations and contract notices
  • Administer Deeds of Release and Final Accounts at project close out
  • Identify areas of risk, exposure and opportunity and reporting

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction Management, Project Management)
  • Previous experience in a similar commercial role
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Sound working knowledge of project administration and project control applications
  • Able to engage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to build mutually beneficial relationships
  • Positive negotiation, conflict and influencing skills
  • Facilitation skills which confidently see you present information to a range of audiences
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Police Clearance
