We are seeking an experienced Contract Lead Logistics to join our National Procurement Team and contribute to Borals’ Logistics Performance Improvement Program. Boral manages a massive, outsourced fleet which spans across the entire business and is a key part of Borals’ supply chain. The overall objective of the program is to ensure that Boral derives the best and most sustainable value from the logistics supply market while minimising supply risks. This opportunity is a national, 18 month fixed term contract focused on working with internal stakeholders to assess, align and recommend negotiation strategies (cost model, direct negotiations or go to market) with the logistics suppliers.
Your day will involve:
• Recommend, assess and align negotiation strategies with internal stakeholders
• Negotiate rates with logistics suppliers in conjunction with Logistics Manager.
• Track, audit and maintain a program of price reviews, contract renewals and Go to Market (RFP) plans.
• Ongoing supplier and contract management including rate review cycles, KPI’s and SLA’s
• Validate and ensure legal and contractual obligations are being met as per local and national legislations.
• Recommend commercial terms and conditions in the new contracts, negotiate and update contracts.
• Provide tactical and strategic advice related to the procurement of logistics services and conduct supplier search, shortlisting, tendering and contract negotiation.
• Organise, execute and manage Steerco and working group meetings.
