Our client is at the forefront of ensuring that policies and practices surrounding disability services are founded on robust evidence. Their Research and Evaluation Branch is dedicated to enhancing evidence-based decision-making, shaping disability research.

  • EL1 equivalent $602+ per day + super
  • Based in Brisbane CBD
  • Starting ASAP - up to 12 months with possibility for extension, pending business requirements.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Data Research: Conduct comprehensive literature searches, data extraction, quality appraisal, and synthesis of findings and maintain project-related records and utilise research software or platforms effectively, provide methodological expertise in research methods, psychosocial disability, early childhood interventions, neurological disorders, or other relevant areas.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to interpret research findings and support knowledge translation. Prepare and present research reports and recommendations tailored to different stakeholders.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high standards of customer service to internal stakeholders and customers. Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
  • Report Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage project plans and design and document protocols for various research methodologies, ensuring adherence to standards such as PRISMA.
  • Leadership: Supervise and support junior staff, contributing to their professional growth and lead or support broader projects within the Research and Evaluation Branch.

About You

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, Masters) in a relevant field (e.g., public health, social sciences, disability studies).
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting evidence synthesis, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies and ability to critically appraise scientific literature.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in project management and team leadership is desirable.
  • Familiarity with disability research or policy landscape is an advantage.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
