About the Role
As an EL1 level Service Designer, you will:

  • Lead complex service design projects within the Participant Experience Design division.
  • Drive process improvements that positively impact participants and staff.
  • Advocate for participant's voices throughout the design process.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the agency in various forums.
  • Oversee the development of service experiences in line with the Digital Service Standard.
  • Coach and guide team members to deliver quality outcomes.

About You
To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Human-centred design expertise: Proven ability to design services that prioritise end-user needs.
  • User research skills: Experience in conducting interviews, surveys, and workshops.
  • Persona development: Skill in creating user personas to guide design decisions.
  • Journey mapping & Service blueprinting: Ability to visualise and improve user experiences and service processes.
  • Co-Design & Facilitation: Ability to lead collaborative design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Design thinking: Strong understanding of design thinking methodologies.
  • Usability testing: Experience in validating design concepts through testing.

Desirable Skills:

  • Visual design: Ability to create visually appealing designs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Experience working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile or Kanban processes.
