The Role

We are looking for an individual who can lead and manage the production functions of the Phosphate Hill site, in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. A great opportunity in a complex plant where you can challenge your technical skills and bring your leadership expertise all while doing it on a fantastic family friendly roster.

Core Accountabilities Include:

Delivery of Zero Harm Lead the plant production teams to effectively achieve the business plan – people and performance Deliver safe, reliable and efficient production adhering to plans and schedules Deliver sustained improvements in production levels Formulate and deliver an annual financial plan for expenditure Deliver continuous improvement

What you’ll bring

To be considered for this position, ideally you will be a degree qualified Chemical Engineer (however mechanical, electrical, petro-chemical or similar technical background will also be considered) and ideally will have experience in chemical, mining, or heavy industry, preferably in a Major Hazard Facility with at least 5 years leadership experience. As an engaging people leader, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and motivate your team to achieve their goals.

It would be beneficial for you to be familiar with SAP, as well as the MS Office suite. You should have experience with Manufacturing Excellence models, systems, and processes.

The Site

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
