Why this role matters

The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services.  We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Team Leader who will lead an effective and high functioning team of multi-disciplinary staff to deliver client centred, residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services. To ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met

You will successfully

  • Oversight the assessment, processing and admission of participants into treatment, community or residential based. 
  • Work closely with the Team Lead Community to ensure a seamless service for participants.
  • Oversight residential AOD activities, developing strong networks and partnerships, building collaborative and professional relationships with other agencies.
  • Continue to develop and coach direct reports, utilising quality checks as feedback and opportunities for learning and reflecting.
  • When required, assist the Centre Manager in evaluation and research and representation of the service as required.

You will have

  • Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline
  • Current drivers licence
  • Solid level of experience (minimum 2+ years) in the implementation of case management, groups, and systems for AOD/or complex needs clients.
  • Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients’ needs.
  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience.

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Red Hill, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.
