Our client is a dynamic, scaling company in a niche area of the market and are seeing excellent growth results. As they continue to expand, they're looking for an experienced Head of SEO to join their team and lead their SEO efforts. 

Role Summary: They are seeking a senior, hands-on Head of SEO to lead and execute their comprehensive SEO strategy. This role requires deep expertise in all facets of SEO, including technical SEO, content optimisation, and link building. You will be responsible for improving their search engine rankings, driving organic traffic, and exploring innovative strategies to enhance their online visibility. Initially, this role will be hands-on but will evolve to include managing external partners and potentially building and leading a team of top-tier SEO professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy encompassing technical SEO, content optimisation, and link-building to boost organic search visibility and drive traffic.
  • Technical SEO: Conduct technical audits and implement on-site SEO improvements, including site structure, schema markup, and page speed optimisation.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee content development aligned with SEO goals, ensuring all content is optimised for search engines and user engagement.
  • Link Building: Develop and execute a link-building strategy to improve domain authority and search rankings.
  • SEO Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on SEO performance metrics. Use insights to refine strategies and demonstrate the effectiveness of SEO initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, development, and content teams to integrate SEO strategies across all digital activities.
  • Vendor and Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies and partners to supplement efforts and enhance outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Startup Experience: Proven experience leading and scaling SEO in an early-stage startup environment, demonstrating the ability to drive growth from the ground up.
  • Proven track record in SEO with significant success in improving rankings, increasing organic traffic, and achieving business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of current SEO tools and practices, with proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush.
  • Strong technical proficiency with experience managing technical SEO elements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative and analytical thinking with the ability to assess complex data and drive strategic decisions.
  • Experience in managing external agencies and partners..
  • Potential to hire and effectively manage a high-performing team as the department expands.

The Head of SEO will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

This an opportunity to shape the future of their SEO strategy and make a significant impact on the growth of a company. 

**This role can be fully remote across Australia, however there are expectations to take calls outside work hours to liaise with global teams.**
