This Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager of Procurement the successful candidate will be the key interface for procurement to the business on third party risk requirements and play a pivotal role in advancing TPG’s commitment to effectively managing third party risk whilst driving operational excellence.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this role will be responsible for establishing and implementing procurement strategies, processes, and initiatives to ensure third party risks are effectively managed over the procurement lifecycle in line with TPG’s third party risk management framework.

This role requires a strong understanding of procurement related risks and mitigations strategies to effectively manage third party risk, excellent leadership abilities, strong interaction skills to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the business (drive accountability) and a passion for driving positive change.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of the supply chain risk management and governance strategy for TPG Telecom suppliers. Ensure existing and new third parties are managed in line with the Third-Party Risk and Governance policies, standards, and frameworks. Ensure risk assessments for existing third parties are maintained and refreshed on a regular basis in line with the Third-Party Risk Framework Ensure new risks or changes to risks arising out of procurement activities are identified and appropriately managed. Support supplier due diligence activities by collaborating with risk SMEs and assessing the materiality of any identified risks. Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance programs as appropriate.  Develop and maintain fit for purpose third party risk systems and processes as well as integration with other procurement lifecycle systems. Prepare appropriate third-party risk reporting for senior management. Collaborate with other functions including Enterprise Risk, Compliance, WHS, Technology Security to continuously improve the third-party risk management framework and processes.

Knowledge and experience

Commercial Degree qualified or equivalent in a related field. Proven experience in risk management and relevant supporting tools with a strong understanding of procurement related risks and experience in implementing risk mitigation strategies. Professional certifications related to risk management are highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of third-party risk principles, standards, and regulations. Strong understanding procurement processes, including sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. Initiative-taking and results-driven mindset, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
