Reporting directly to the Head of Planning and Operations, as **Business Control Manager - Third Party Risk, **you’ll play a critical part in creating and maintaining effective working relationships with Retail suppliers and third parties. You’ll be responsible for supporting Retail teams in on boarding, managing and monitoring of suppliers and third parties to keep our customers and business safe.

This specialist role forms an integral part of the Retail business 1st Line of Defence, helping the Retail business navigate policies and regulatory obligations as well as maximising the value and effectiveness of these relationships.

**Please note this is a 12-months fixed term contract.**

**What you’ll do**
- Support Retail teams as they undertake the selection, procurement and on boarding of new suppliers and third parties while complying with Procurement requirements, processes and policies
- Support Retail relationship owners in the establishment, maintenance and management of supplier and third-party relationships
- Establish and implement supplier management frameworks and processes ensuring consistency, strong documentation, data quality and efficiency
- in alignment with Operations and Retail supplier management activities
- Design and complete contract audits and supplier controls, overseeing performance against contractual SLA’s and obligations
- Support Retail relationship owners in the management of contracts including reviews and renewal activities (together with Procurement)
- Coordinate and manage changes to supplier and third-party management processes driven by policy, regulations or improvement opportunities
- Identify and assess supplier and third-party risks, working with Retail and Operations teams to help our business manage continuity risk (in coordination with the Business Continuity Manager)

**What we’re looking for**
- Understanding of key regulatory and compliance regimes associated with sourcing and supplier management (CPS231, CPS234, CPS232, Modern Slavery Act, Payment Times Reporting Act, APS222 etc.)
- Sound knowledge of retail banking systems and business processes
- 8+ years’ experience in a Retail Banking/ Financial Services or related environment (supplier to industry)
- Previous experience in a Supplier Risk, Vendor Management or Procurement role (Financial or Non-Financial)
- Strong communication skills both written and oral - ability to develop and present
- Excellent work planning and organisational skills
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills across a range of levels of senior management
