HSEQ Coordinator

Our client, a reputable construction company with over 45 years of successful operations in Sydney, is known for their commitment to quality, safety, and integrity within the industry.
They specialize in a wide range of projects, including electrical substations, local government buildings, sporting infrastructure, warehouses, commercial projects, and refurbishments.
With a diverse project portfolio and a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors, they are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join their friendly, driven, and energetic team.
Role and Responsibilities:
As an HSEQ Coordinator, you will report directly to the HSEQ Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all project sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting safety, quality, and environmental inspections, ensuring consistent adherence to site setup procedures across all projects. Assisting staff, site teams, and contractors in complying with relevant legislation, standards, and contractual arrangements. Supporting the HSEQ Manager in delivering the Safety Management System, including policies, procedures, manuals, and practices. Acting as a company representative for all WHS matters. Proactively assisting work teams in implementing and embedding health and safety work plans. Keeping up-to-date with legislative changes and continuously reviewing and improving policies and procedures. Monitoring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Providing workplace safety, health, environmental, and quality support and advice to the Senior Management Team and staff. Assisting in assurance and audit activities within the company. Contributing to the development, review, and monitoring of the HSEQ Plan and objectives and targets. Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum Cert. IV in workplace safety. Knowledge of HSEQ processes and previous experience in a similar role. Demonstrated unwavering commitment to health and safety. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment. Strong problem-solving abilities. Related industry experience, particularly in commercial and civil construction (highly desirable). Current driver's license. National Construction General Induction Card (All States Recognized).
