We are seeking a highly organised, reliable, creative, and dynamic Bid Writer for our Programmed and PERSOLKELLY Staffing Australian and New Zealand based Bids and Marketing Teams. This role is based in Melbourne offering the right candidate a blend of in-office collaboration and the flexibility of working from home.

The Role

The Bid Writer role is responsible for supporting Bid Managers to develop and deliver timely responses to bids and tenders. This role is also responsible for the production of documents that support divisional sales activities, including customer proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), bids, and tender submissions. This would suit a person with an interest in sales-led content, structured writing and motivated by deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Proposals and Tender Support

  • Manage the completion of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), bids, and tender as directed by line manager.
  • Works with Bid Managers and Bid Sponsors to coordinate and develop content for the proposal.
  • Receives, compiles, and presents information received from contributors into the required format and structure.
  • Lodges proposals in accordance with customer specified requirements.
  • Contributes to the management of the knowledge management library.
  • Create documents and presentations using approved templates, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines as required.
  • Produce diagrams and flow charts using VISIO or Adobe Design Suite, as required.
  • Proof reading, editing and formatting of final documents.
  • Assist with the timely lodgement of bids

Business understanding

  • Maintain a high-level understanding of Programmed and PERSOLKELLY and its various brand affiliates, its strategic customer base and the problems faced, and solutions needed by both, with the assistance of the Bid Team Lead and broader Bid team, and Business Development.
  • Work constructively with key business stakeholders to build relationships, understanding, and buy in. These will include Leadership, Sales, People & Culture, Operations, and Data.
  • Embed yourself as a central member of the Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Project Teams.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication – English
  • A proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities, prioritise, and meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail with problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward
  • Experience in a similar or related role
  • A willingness to learn and positively contribute to our dynamic workplace
  • Qualifications in Marketing, Communications and/or Business or similar will be highly regarded
  • An ability to work effectively in teams, and independently often virtually
