The Risk and Safety Branch forms part of the Corporate Services and Transformation Division and contributes directly to the achievement of organisational goals for this Division. As a member of the Risk & Safety Branch, the Risk & Claims Officer is required to pursue branch, divisional and corporate goals through effective teamwork. Establishing sound working relationships with a range of internal and external parties, to assist and drive Council's insurance claims management portfolio.
We are on the lookout for a Risk and Claims Officer to provide effective and efficient management of general insurance claims, risk related committees and strategy implementation. This is the perfect opportunity to grow your career in Risk Management
Key Responsibilities
To provide effective and efficient management of insurance claims, ensuring that prompt and effective arrangements. To prepare all necessary reports and timely data management to ensure claims are managed as efficiently as possible and all relevant statutory obligations are met. To assist and support the Senior Advisors and Manager to manage relevant committees and consultative procedures across the organisation. To support and assist in the development of the Council Risk Management Strategy and related strategies e.g., Business Continuity Plan etc.Yarra city council is a Dynamic and Progressive Organisation.
