To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security team, based out of our Chatswood Sydney office.

Here is your opportunity to work within a global FMCG, and be responsible for maintaining PepsiCo security systems, information and global assets against unauthorized access, security risks, data loss, and cyber-attacks.

Reporting to the Threat Defense Senior Manager, this role will see you providing level 2 support cross-functionally for security solutions.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a blended mixture of both technical skills and interpersonal skills with at least 3 years of real-world experience. You will be able to communicate complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner across different cohorts within the organisation and will have proficiency across things like application and network protocols.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain expertise to function as Technical Advisor SME in multiple security areas and provide level 2 support for security solutions
  • Develop strong relationships within the business and work cross-functionally across security engineering to drive innovation, ensuring high-quality, prompt, and efficient service at all times
  • Act as a coach/mentor for other security engineering team members
  • Take part in the Agile team (act as the Agile coaching and culture champion); supporting security engineering solutions
  • Generate, track, and monitor key metrics

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an agile Information Security Engineering environment with foundational knowledge in areas such as SOC operations, IDS/IPS and SIEM technologies
  • Proficiency in application and networking protocols with a high level of comfort analysing packet capture files within tools like Wireshark
  • Proficiency in a Linux command line environment or Windows equivalent, as well as proficiency in at least one development/scripting language
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and implementation
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences, and to influence all levels across the organisation
  • Experience driving security related change within a business
