MLC School is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Gymnastics Program Coordinator who will support our vision to educate and inspire young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion to be agents of change in their own lives and in the lives of others.

About MLC School

Founded in 1886, MLC School is an independent, nonselective Uniting Church school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in Sydney’s inner-west. Our tagline ‘dare to be more’ is not only our goal for our students, it applies equally to our staff.

About the position

The Assistant Gymnastics Program Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of gymnastics coaching activities and program administration at MLC School.  In this role you will ensure MLC School policies and procedures are applied effectively through all training sessions and competition situations and that each of these sessions is underpinned by the School’s key values of sport. The role works across Monday to Saturday, and evening and weekend work is expected.

Selection Criteria:

You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:

  • Deliver technically appropriate coaching sessions participants
  • Be involved in the coordination and attendance of club events
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model to Junior Coaching staff
  • Provide administration and support to the Gymnastics Program Manager, Rhythmic Gymnastics Coordinator and Artistic Gymnastics Coordinator
  • Ongoing personal and professional development

Key requirements:

  • Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Australia
  • Advanced Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to attend the next available course)
  • Gymnastics Coaching Experience
  • TeamGym Experience (or willingness to develop key skills in this area)
  • WAG judging accreditation (or willingness to attend the next available course)
  • Valid NSW Working With Children's check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
