About the Role

  • Integral role in the Cyber Security Technology team to drive AGL’s Cyber Transformation

  • Join the Technology leadership team and report into the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

  • Open to both Melbourne and Sydney

Technology plays a critical role in the delivery of AGL’s strategy, helping our customers decarbonise the way they live, move and work and transitioning our generation portfolio.

We have an exciting opportunity as Head of Cyber Transformation Program to join our Cyber Security Technology leadership team.

The Head of Cyber Transformation Program is a key role that will develop and lead the Cyber Transformation Program to protect critical energy infrastructure and systems from cyber threats. You will set the strategic direction of the program and proactively guide AGL’s cybersecurity measures to ensure the secure and reliable operation of energy systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and lead the Cyber Transformation Program within the energy sector, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with wider corporate goals.

  • Analyse and secure existing energy infrastructure; foresee potential cyber threats and strategise ways to maintain system security.

  • Review and enhance cybersecurity measures continually to enhance resilience and ensure the protection of sensitive data.

  • Govern and prioritise various cyber initiatives based on risks, opportunities, and organizational readiness.

  • Regularly report on the program's progress, risks, and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure adherence to the defined cybersecurity governance framework across the energy programs.

  • Comprehensive program management, including budget development, timeline oversight, resource allocation, task prioritization, procurement management, and strategic roadmap execution to achieve program objectives.

  • Establish and maintain program governance structures, leading governance committees to ensure program adherence to policies and regulations and facilitating communication to support informed decision-making.

  • Oversee the performance and collaboration of delivery partners and vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations, uphold quality standards, and deliver services on time and within budget.

About you

You will be an experienced cybersecurity leader with a track record of managing complex transformation programs in a regulated environment. You have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and bring stakeholders on the transformation journey.

  • Degree or certification in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Experience managing complex transformation programs or multi-stream projects.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating and partnering with other business areas (Technology, Operational Technology, Engineering, and Operations teams).

  • Strong reporting and analytical skills to share regular updates on project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and processes.

  • Experience in budget creation and management.
