**On the Front Lines: Lead Insignia Financials Cyber Resilience Team**

Insignia Financial is investing in a new era of cyber security and we're looking for a leader to head our Cyber Security Resilience team to build a world-class cyber resilience capability. With an engaged Board of Directors and Executive team, led by our CISO, James Ng, we need a leader who can think fast, act decisively, and keep our organisation safe. This is your chance to be part of a newly consolidated team and shape the future of cyber security at Insignia Financial. You'll lead the team responsible for threat detection, incident response, and recovery. You'll work closely with our outsourced SOC and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that we're prepared for any cyber challenge. We have a dedicated budget and a newly approved cyber security operating model, and we're strategically refreshing our processes and technology to empower the business and achieve greater security and resilience. Are you ready to lead the charge?

**The opportunity to join our team**

The Head of Cyber Security Resilience enables the organisation to rapidly detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats and incidents through strategic leadership, operational excellence, internal customer focus, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. They lead the team responsible for the frontline defence of the organisation's information assets, working in collaboration with other cyber security teams and an outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC). This role involves looking after the detection, response, and recovery aspects of security. You will understand where attacks are coming from and act accordingly. In the event of a breach or incident, your expertise in cyber threat intelligence will be critical to understanding where the attacks are likely to originate. You will be responsible for managing incidents and emergencies, requiring you to maintain a very calm and operational approach. The role requires you to leverage existing managed security providers and ensure their operations align with our objectives and expectations. This aspect of the role is crucial for our operational success.

**What you will bring**

In this role, you will bring extensive expertise and a customer-centric mindset. Internally, you will have mentored, challenged, and supported a SOC team previously, ensuring they possess the depth of experience needed to handle critical incidents independently. Your influence and accountability will be key in transforming complex issues into simple, clear strategies, demonstrating a high level of influence across all areas of your responsibility. You will need a strong sense of commercial arrangements to manage our suppliers effectively, negotiating and putting the right kind of pressure on them to achieve the desired outcomes. A deep understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, and EDR, along with threat detection principles, attacker tactics, and forensic techniques, is required. Additionally, you will have the ability to translate technical details into strategic insights for senior leadership, maintaining effective communication during crises.

**Find the better way**

What gets us excited about working here? Helping people feel good about their money as one of Australia's leading financial wellbeing organisations. From those starting out to those retiring. As your team, we'll show up for you and together we will create financial wellbeing for every Australian. Because we know people who are confident about their financial future live better lives. If this sounds like your kind of career, you sound like our kind of person. With us, you'll do work that builds your technical know-how and challenges our entire industry to move forward. Along the way, you'll be free to explore new ideas and technology, solve problems in a team, and independently to get great things done. Around here, we like to call it "putting our fingerprints on the future".
