Libraries ACT is on the hunt for a customer-focused superstar to join our team

Library Support Officers serve as the first point of contact for community members when using library services. They deliver high-quality customer service and regularly liaise with members of the wider community, promoting the resources and services Libraries ACT has available.

We currently have three a permanent part-time (15 hrs per week) position working either 11am – 2pm, Monday to Friday or 11am – 2pm Tuesday - Saturday at any of the 9 public library branches within the ACT or the ACT Heritage Library.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -  To be eligible for permanent employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.

Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
