The Role    

Reporting to the Head of Learning Strategies, the Learning Strategies Mathematics Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, resource and implement Individual Learning Plans for Mathematics. As a valued member of our team, you will be part of making a real difference by positively impacting student experience and contributing to our School community. 

In this fixed term (6-month) position, you will be working as part of a supportive and collegial team commencing Term 3 2024. This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) based at our Caulfield Campus, providing key one-on-one, small group and classroom support for Middle School students.   

Key Duties 

  • Structure teaching programs informed by research and collegial advice on student learning. 
  • Develop differentiated teaching activities that cater to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, adhering to relevant policies and legislation. 
  • Provide flexible support tailored to individual students, employing effective assessment methods to monitor and report on student progress. 
  • Collaborate actively with colleagues to develop and implement student-centered Individual Learning Plans. 
  • Utilize strategies based on students’ developmental characteristics to enhance learning outcomes. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on student progress as required. 
  • Participate in professional development activities to continually improve teaching practices. 
  • Model and uphold Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours 

Skills and Experience  

  • A knowledge of the IB MYP is desirable 
  • Experience supporting the differentiation of the curriculum within the secondary environment. 
  • Qualification in Learning Intervention is desirable 
  • Relevant Teaching Qualifications 
  • Hold a current VIT Registration
