TheRole 

Applications are invited fromqualified classroom teachers for specialist roles teaching Scienceto cover periods of leave at both our Wheelers Hill and Caulfieldcampuses. These Science Teachers would be teaching Year 7, 8 and 10Science and Year 11 Biology Science at WheelersHill.

The role located at our Wheelers Hill campus is an FTE 0.8, part-time,fixed term position commencing as soon as possible till the end of2024. The position at Caulfield Campus is an FTE0.6 part-time, fixed term contract covering Term 3 and 4.The successful applicants willdemonstrate a strong desire to keep learning about science andcommitment to professional development and will also be comfortableutilising learning technologies.

KeyDuties

Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn, including integrating formative practice and providing continuous feedback  Prepare instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for all  Provide a safe and supportive classroom culture  Contribute to our visible wellbeing program to enable students to thrive and belong  Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Skills andExperience 

Hold a current VIT Registration  Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge in Science Experience teaching at MYP and VCE levels (desired) Demonstrated commitment to professional development Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
