We are seeking a talented Occupational Hygienist to join our team of dedicated EHS professionals based at our Port Melbourne site. We are growing our team so this is an exciting opportunity to be supported by a fantastic team of professionals who will give you the opportunity to shine.

Position Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Design and implement exposure assessment strategies across a wide range of chemical, physical and biological hazards
  • Act as a primary site interface with regulatory agencies;
  • Design and implement compliance tools, conduct risk assessments and conduct measurement and monitoring analysis;
  • Collaborate with your internal customers to identify and implement effective exposure control solutions for workers
  • Manage respirator and hearing protection fit-testing programs;
  • Contribute to BAA’s proactive risk management approach;
  • Implement industry leading Occupational Hygiene risk reduction improvement projects that have scope across not only BAA but our global Fabrication partners.

The successful candidate will provide input to new business opportunities and process change projects to ensure compliance and inherently safe outcomes. We are looking for candidates with energy and enthusiasm who enjoy working collaboratively with their stakeholders to undertake a broad range of operations activities to support the broader environment health and safety team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Hygiene, Health & Safety or a related discipline;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an EHS or OHS professional in either an operational or customer facing environment;
  • An in depth understanding of Victorian Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and regulations;
  • A proactive, problem solving, energetic, team focused approach;
