About the role 

As a new member of the Customer Operations Training team, the Operations Training Coordinator will play an instrumental part in the successful delivery of frontline training, including classroom training, regional training, project training, and other ad hoc training events. 

The position involves close collaboration with the Customer Operations Training team and stakeholders to address training needs across Victoria. Responsibilities include managing staff training, coordinating events, providing administrative support, and financial administration.  

Key Accountabilities include: 

  • Schedule and roster Conductor and Station staff classroom and continuation training 

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure staff attendance 

  • Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff 

  • Complete invoicing and other financial administration 

  • Prepare presentations and videos using PowerPoint and Canva 

  • Book and liaise with internal and external providers 

  • Coordinate events and activities 

About you 

As our first Operations Training Coordinator, you will be a self-driven, detail-focused team player. You should have strong time management skills and be proficient in using the Microsoft Suite to excel in your role and support the Customer Operations Training team. You will have strong communication as you liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.  

Our ideal candidate will possess the following: 

  • Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights. 

  • Minimum 3 years working in a similar role 

  • Year 10 or equivalent 

  • Cert III in Business Administration (or equivalent)    

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite    

  • Experience using SharePoint 

  • Invoicing experience (JDE or similar cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) advantageous) 

  • Event coordination 

  • Experience creating presentations and videos

Remuneration for this position is a Clerk C1 (Total Remuneration Package of $88,136) in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023.
