**Your future role**
Alstom’s V/Line Maintenance project is responsible for the management of the maintenance of the V/Line Rolling Stock Fleet. As the Training Lead you will be leading and coordinating the training of staff who maintain V/Line’s Fleet of 1950s -1990s built locomotives, carriages and Sprinter Diesel Motor Units and VLocity trains. These trains comprise the V/Line Fleet, transporting passengers throughout regional Victoria. The successful **Training Lead **will be responsible for the delivery of technical and non technical training to staff across multiple depot locations, including but not limited to Ballarat, Geelong and South Dynon locations.
The Training team is based at our **West Melbourne Depot**, they provide training support to the Alstom Maintenance team and V/Line. This role is ideal for a technically minded trainer, with highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, self-motivated and highly organised. As a training lead you will manage a small training team and work closely with Mechanical fitters, electricians, diesel and carriage maintainers and many more skill sets. Your responsibilties will be:
- Collaborate and work efficiently and effectively with all business units to develop, maintain and version control training documents
- Plan and deliver recurrent competency training to current staff across multiple depot locations, including technical and non technical competencies
- Forecast training requirements and liaise with depot managers/supervisors to plan training to adhere to expiry guidelines
- Ensure competency data is collated, uploaded and managed in our Learning Management Systems

- Tertiary qualification in Education highly desired or previous training/ facilitating experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or able to obtain within the first 6 months)
- Highly developed communication skills and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Organised, resourceful and approachable individual
- Previous experience working/training in a workshop environment highly desirable
- Able to manage multiple projects and multi task
