Device Technologies are seeking a full time Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team.

This important role will join the small but critical team of 3 in processing the payroll for the Device Technologies Group of companies in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. The Senior Payroll Officer will be a strong payroll professional with passion, to help us in our continued strive for excellence and accuracy.

The responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Officer will include the following:

  • The timely and accurate end to end processing of monthly, fortnightly and weekly Australian and monthly New Zealand payroll using SAGE Micropay.
  • Processing of multiple outsourced payrolls in South East Asia.
  • Implementing and processing new starter records and employment changes.
  • Capturing, preparing, and processing employee terminations.
  • Process monthly payments for PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and child support.
  • Performing accurate reconciliation and online submission of monthly superannuation and payroll tax returns.
  • Assisting with the reconciliation and submission of annual payroll tax and workers compensation returns.
  • Monthly preparation of commission accrual journals.
  • Preparation of wages, annual leave liability, purchased leave liability, payroll tax and superannuation general ledger journals.
  • Manage Group Salary Continuance and Workers Compensation Insurance payments and queries.
  • Maintaining annual and sick leave records and personal employee information in SAGE Micropay and SAGE People HRIS.
  • Calculation of long service leave entitlements and system setup.
  • Maintaining employee records for superannuation within online system.
  • Update and maintain CABS commission system in SAP and update reporting lines.

Experience required:

  • End to end payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work in a structured manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
