We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Flexhive. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate administration of payroll for our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake a range of general payroll processing functions to establish and maintain accurate staff records using SAP.
- Assess entitlements and conditions of service against eligibility criteria in accordance with legislation, policy, and enterprise agreements.
- Provide advice and respond to enquiries relating to entitlements and conditions of service.
- Maintain appropriate records and file documents in accordance with record management protocols.
- Contribute new ideas and opportunities to improve procedures in the work area.
- Investigate and calculate over and under payments of salary, arrange recovery of minor overpayments or refer where relevant.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll related legislation, policy, and enterprise agreements.
- Prepare and escalate pay processing related work requiring senior officer action and/or delegate approval.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing relating to system enhancements and updates.
- Australian Citizenship
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and enterprise agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in the delivery of quality payroll services.
- Employ good judgement and sound problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Well-developed communication and liaison skills
- Personal qualities of tact, discretion, and sound judgement
- A sound working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is desirable.
