The company
This well-known and trusted national manufacturer and distributor of LV electrical and industrial automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager in Brisbane.
 
The position
Actively promoting and selling a wide range of electrical products whilst growing the sales revenue and customer base. This role will be calling on Electrical Wholesalers and Contractor within Brisbane's CBD and out West. 

To achieve this, you will need to have a strong electrical sales background, the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work, great communication skills and a desire to provide exceptional service.
  
Duties include:

  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for products/services.
  • Proactively calling on electrical contractors to create demand for products & services through the wholesale channel.
  • Collaborating with the wider sales team member across the organisation to provide cross solutions approach.
  • Tracking all sales activities in the CRM system as required and keeping current by updating account information regularly.
  • Organising & participating in industry trade shows and other relevant events as required.
  • Actively involved in preparing and submitting of quotations and tenders.
  • Developing a detailed customer call plan to ensure the designated territory is covered in an effective & efficient manner to maximise sales results.

 
Skills & experience required:

  • An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Solid electrical sales experience coupled with existing relationships with Electrical Wholesalers & Contractors.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions.
