Your new role
Our global finance team is growing and a newly created opportunity for a commercial and highly experienced finance professional has become available in our ASX 100 listed company. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across our business streams and play a crucial role in our financial success.

Based in Brisbane you will report to our Group Director, Financial Planning and Strategy based in Houston and will see you take full ownership of financial support for our Life Sciences divisions globally and ensure this business stream receives detailed financial guidance and strategic support. You will also provide FP&A support to our Investor Relations team and M&A and Capital Investment support.

This highly visible role will offer you regular exposure and interactions with our CEO, ELT, Board and General Management team. Previous experience working at this level is required, as is the ability to work across different time zones on a regular basis. To succeed its desirable, you have strong technical skills and experience working in complex mid to large sized multinationals and have a background working as a consultant with one of the Big 4 or large consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and report on the financial performance of our diverse business streams, providing actionable insights to senior management. Driving strategic initiatives to mitigate financial risks associated with new ventures and ensure optimal returns on capital expenditures. Utilising your expertise to enhance the accuracy of divisional forecasts, enabling informed decision-making and resource allocation. Partner closely with Executive General Managers to provide comprehensive managerial accounting support, influencing strategic decisions and operational efficiencies. Play a key role in regional mergers and acquisitions activities, as well as capital investment projects, by conducting thorough financial analysis and due diligence. Collaborate with Investor Relations to deliver insightful financial planning and analysis, ensuring transparent and compelling communications with our stakeholders. The Essentials
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field coupled with an MBA or CPA preferred. You have at least 10 years in a finance business partner role, preferably within a large, multi-national organization along with proven experience managing complex and high-level stakeholder relationships. 

As a seasoned professional you have strong experience in financial reporting, performance analysis, and managerial accounting. Crucially, you are a natural leader with a strong depth of experience and have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with senior executives and operational stakeholders.

Technically you are proficient in financial software (Oracle, Pronto, TM1, Hyperion) and advanced MS Excel skills.
