What’s on offer?

Our Pipelines department in the delivery of sewer and water construction activities, predominately undertaken in the land development sector across the East & South Eastern Metro Melbourne and West Gippsland are looking for an SEQ Advisor to join the Southern Region team.

We have an exciting new opportunity for Safety Trainee to support our Pipelines department in construction of sewer and water assets, predominately in the land development & Water Authority sectors. Working with all levels of management, you will be exposed to a wide range of Safety functions, including: HSE Policies, Compliance and Training Requirements, Incident Investigations, Workplace Auditing, and real world exposure to local and Australian safety standards and legislation. This will provide you with a unique range of learning and development opportunities that will help you to see the big-picture behind the numbers and understand how we safely build and manage critical infrastructure projects that connects communities and helps us to shape a better world. Day to day you will be supporting the team, including a supervising safety professional, and increasingly gain responsibility for:

  • Providing assistance with on-boarding & induction of new site employees;
  • Overseeing and monitoring data input in Salesforce to ensure compliance with company and department processes;
  • Management of safety related records including Verification of competencies (VOC’s) to ensure all employees have completed relevant inductions and tickets prior to site access;
  • Effectively maintain all project and department safety registers and files as required;
  • Assisting with preparation of safety documentation and signage;
  • Provide administrative support to the safety team on site as required.

How you’ll connect to the role:

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • A high degree of enthusiasm and drive, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes as part of team;
  • A practical mindset, with a hands-on approach to getting things done;
  • Experience in Excel & ability to pick up new systems with ease.

This role is suitable for someone who is wanting to start their career journey in a safety position at Fulton Hogan. In return we will support you by supporting you to complete a Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety.
