The role of Media Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for assisting our Media Partnerships team, with creating, implementing and maintaining an EDM strategy to communicate UMA’s catalogue priorities to Australian media. This role will assist with supporting and coordinating of all aspects of artist promotional campaigns, as directed by the Media Partnerships team. We are on the hunt for an individual who is music obsessed, a team player, has a high level of creativity, innovation and enthusiasm.

The role

The role requires proactivity, creativity and analytical thinking alike. You will be actively involved in identifying and creating artist opportunities.

  • Provide support, guidance, and assist the Media Partnerships team
  • Manage the Media Partnerships team EDM communication strategy to media and maintain media databases
  • Manage the distribution of artists assets to media
  • Collate and distribute media enquires and opportunities to the Media Partnerships team
  • Manage the weekly media priorities documents and reporting.
  • Manage Media Travel Bookings & External Invoicing via the Uniport system.
  • Cultivate close working relationships with the international and domestic repertoire teams.
  • Manage communication to a select group of media outlets directly.
  • Leverage company-wide information to build more fan-centricity capabilities that will enable us to directly reach consumers for the benefit of artists and fans alike.
  • Coordinate the weekly team meetings and distribute information
  • Assisting the Media Partnerships team with artist promotional schedules and remote interviews for domestic & international artists
  • Liaise with International and Domestic teams to secure access artists.

Partners & Relationships

  • Maintain and foster internal and external relationships across media partners, artists, and artist management.
  • Build and maintain non-music stakeholder relationships to assist in the Media Partnerships function.
  • Assist Artist Relations team on executing on ground promotional schedules when required and collaborate with artist development teams to ensure timely delivery of all assets.
  • Communicate to local and global teams outlining secured promotional activity as required.
  • Responsible for regular stakeholder communications including release schedules, priorities, tour and promotional schedules
  • Support contact with Media including day to day enquiries, to ensure effective profile and on time release.

Creative

  • Work with the account leads to deliver assets including but not limited to; EDM communications, priority sheets, photoshop assets, video assets and artist show reels.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in the creation of artist content and assist in the execution of strategic creative artist plans.
  • Work with the Media Partnerships team to build presentations for both internal and external stakeholders

Audiences

  • Integrate fan-centric campaigns into marketing & promotional opportunities in order to build direct access fan databases
  • Research our artists’ fan base to enable engagement through promotional moments.
  • Collaborate with the media and commercial teams to help facilitate influencer and creator campaigns

Insights & Data

  • Actively encourage use of Universal data and analytics throughout all activities.
  • Ensure future platform and format opportunities are maximised and digital trends identified.
  • Use data & insights when building promotional schedules to ensure most effective use of artists’ time.
  • Collect data & insights to undergo post promotional analysis.

About you

  • Capable of developing and keeping to a project timeline
  • Microsoft Office Skills – Windows, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Adobe Editing suites (most notably Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
  • Tertiary qualifications in media, business, marketing, or relevant areas preferred.
  • Understanding of the Australian media landscape and the social / digital landscape
  • Understanding of media outlets and the music business is an advantage– encompassing sales, marketing, new business, sync, promotion, publicity and the logistics of the various departments.
  • Understanding and communication of company priorities to business partners.
  • High level of creativity, innovation and enthusiasm; and the ability to drive business priorities to business partners.
  • Excellent time management skills, planning and organisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication, report building and delivery skills.
  • Proactive and detailed approach to tasks, with an ability to prioritise and handle a large and varied workload.
  • Ability to take instruction and follow through on assigned tasks
  • Willing to work outside the hours of 9-5 when required
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationship with media, key business partners, artists and artists managers
  • Superior relationship, communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring effective relationships across the Promotions team and other business units.
