As the Head of Product Development you will play an essential role in driving this transformation.

The Role
Being a capable and hands-on Head of Product Development you will join this lively and passionate team within the Health, Beauty and Wellness space. Integral to success will be your ability to deliver a robust and inspiring innovation pipeline, your technical knowledge of product formulation, your knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance best practise and your innate ability to influence and galvanise a team. This team needs a new leader to inspire and energise them to deliver great results. It is also a career defining opportunity.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive 5-year transformational growth agenda
  • Hands-on role requiring both leadership and support to deliver NPD pipeline, product and process improvements and cost management
  • Experienced product developer with proven leadership and project management capability
  • Manage and mentor of a team of 3 direct reports
  • Cross-functional collaboration to build a strategically aligned NPD pipeline
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, risk management, technical product performance and financial performance

Competencies Required

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years experience in FMCG product development – Beauty and Wellness advantageous
  • 3-5 years experience managing direct reports
  • Sound working knowledge of stage-gate process, regulatory requirements and NPD processes
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Accountable and results focused
  • Confidence to challenge established ways of working and an ability to drive an agenda
  • Lead by example – a hands on mentor
