ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions are looking for two experienced, immediately available, Recruitment Coordinators (can be based anywhere in Australia) for a 6-month contract to assist our new mining client with a high-volume redeployment project due to mine closure.

*Must be able to travel to Mt Isa for the 1st 1, possibly 2 weeks of the contract to visit the site, meet the team and attend induction*

About the Role

Our client has one of their mines closing down. With many existing vacancies at their remaining mines (Truck Drivers, Cooks, Cleaners, Catering Staff, Diesel Mechanics, Electricians, Maintenance Engineers etc) your role will be to assist as many of the staff affected by the mine closure as possible by assessing their application, interviewing, shortlisting and presenting them to the Hiring Managers to ideally then redeploy them into a remaining suitable role with the mine. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with the client, participate in job briefings and understand their requirements.
  • Write, place and monitor internal job adverts
  • Screening, shortlisting and assessing internal candidate’s application, qualifications, skills and experience for specific mine site roles.
  • Building relationships with the affected candidates, provide timely updates, detailed interview feedback and support as required to deliver a positive candidate experience during this challenging time.
  • Coordinating interviews, providing accurate interview details and managing interview logistics.
  • Ensure the internal database is kept updated and provide detailed, accurate reporting on activity and staff redeployment.
  • Liaise with the client's Internal Recruitment team and advise what roles remain outstanding for them to then focus on filling externally.

We're looking for:

  • An experienced high-volume Recruitment Resourcer/Coordinator looking for an opportunity to step up
  • Ability to pass a medical and police check
  • Available to commence on 30/9/24 and be able to travel to Mt Isa for the 1st 1, possible 2, weeks of the contract to see the site, meet the team, attend induction etc
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and reporting skills.
  • Professional and effective communication skills – both written and verbal, able to engage with, build relationships with internal candidates
  • Empathetic with excellent listening skills
  • Experience using Applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Confidence in conducting meaningful and engaging interviews
  • Previous blue collar/mining recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential
