Catholic School Parramatta Diocese are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to join their fast-growing Enterprise Architecture team to provide continuous evaluation of data architecture.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to Enterprise Architect or delegate, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design of the data and analytics strategy, and establishment of data architecture and governance framework across the organisation.

The Data Governance Lead is also expected to continuously evaluate the data architecture to ensure suitability against evolving business needs, ensure new systems adhere to defined data governance and management practices, develop, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, manage staff workloads through prioritising responsibilities, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement across the team.

Role responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining data architecture, structure, and taxonomies, including comprehensive testing and maintenance of backups. Collaborating with system leaders to lead the development of policies, procedures and guidelines related to data governance and data protection and privacy. Ensuring data governance activities completed by the team comply with defined data governance policies, procedures, and guideline. Supporting change management activities across the business with a focus on driving culture change and knowledge sharing to enable data governance best practices. Enforcing data governance requirements for planned information technology upgrades, as well as providing specialist leadership in data governance across all levels of staff.  Building collaborative relationships with Data Analysts and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
