The team at Penske Australia have an opening for a trade-qualified Diesel Technician to join their experienced and dedicated workshop team at our  Darwin branch .

Not trade qualified?  At Penske we know it's the people at the core of our success so consideration will be given to Technicians who are committed to upskilling and diversifying their trade.

In this role you will be carrying out diverse work including diagnosis, servicing, minor & major repairs on MTU product, together with Detroit and Allison and getting hands-on within a dynamic team environment.

Compile high quality field service and job reports to facilitate clear provision of information to customers and/or warranty department Report to Branch on details regarding Equipment operating hours and/or any product concerns Ability to work cooperatively on sites with both Customer and Equipment suppliers on a daily basis and liaise with maintenance planners to ensure scheduled equipment maintenance is carried out Provide technical assistance as required Actively contribute towards an ongoing improvement culture in the Safety, Quality and Productivity of the Field Service team Uphold the Penske values at all times with a commitment to safe working practice

About you:

Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic with experience in heavy vehicles and/or industry experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic with a commitment to upskilling as a Diesel Mechanic. Practical knowledge of repair operations with expertise in operating machinery, tools and equipment; Have a strong background with heavy vehicles; Sound technical knowledge and experience in MTU, Detroit and Allison Transmission product is desirable. Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions; Team player who will adhere to and promote the Company's Purpose & Values.
