We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to develop our Marketplace team beyond their current outstanding achievements. In the position of Head of Channels, you will lead a team of Account Managers and Channel Coordinators to achieve higher sales growth. The team works with the accounts of Australia’s most well-known Marketplaces so you should have strong Ecommerce and retail experience, with a focus on Channel management.

The Exciting role:

In more detail, the role will be responsible for

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy aligned with New Aim's overall business objectives
  • Manage a team of Channel Managers, Key Account Managers, Coordinators, and Assistants
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives at major channel partners
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify new channel opportunities and optimize existing channels
  • Set performance targets for each channel and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with other department heads (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure seamless channel operations
  • Present regular reports to senior management on channel performance, challenges, and growth opportunities
  • Lead negotiations for high-level contracts and partnerships
  • Drive innovation in sales techniques and channel management, including adoption of new technologies and processes
  • Oversee budget allocation and financial performance across all channels

What You'll Bring:

  • Business acumen: Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics related to channel operations.
  • Financial management: Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for channel operations at an organizational level.
  • Able to define Channel performance measurement and analysis: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting in-depth data analysis, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong Channel partner management skills: Managing strategic relationships with key channel partners, negotiating favorable terms, and driving channel growth.
  • Proven collaborative mindset - able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to align channel strategies and activities.
  • High-level Risk Management, consider interconnected risks that could impact New Aim's overall business model or market position
  • Project Management: experience leading and managing large-scale initiatives
  • Executive leadership: the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing channel organization.
  • Able to effectively convey complex channel strategies, ideas, and insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • A track record of achieving growth in a Marketplace or retail environment
